Do not alter the condition of your house before it is inspected by the adjuster.However, you can make emergency repairs to prevent further damage. Make sure to take photos prior to making any necessary repairs. This can include temporary repairs to leaking roofs and pipes. If assistance is required, contact your claims adjuster then the emergency services contractor/repair company. Preserve, in as good a condition as possible, all items (personal property and building items) related to the claim. Secure an estimate or receipts for all repairs.
